Edward Lukaszewski is a registered Counselling Psychologist.
Ed has extensive training and experience in providing counselling & therapy for individuals and couples, longer-term psychotherapy when needed, and group consultation for organisations.
He has provided professional supervision for many Psychologists, Social Workers and Therapists, for over 30 years.
When working with clients, Ed considers their individual experiences and emotional difficulties, their relationships and work situations, and the broader context of their family and cultural histories. He always tailors therapy to address the unique concerns and goals of each client.
Ed enjoys the process of working collaboratively with people in developing self-understanding, finding solutions to their problems, aiming to empower each person as they change and grow.
Ed has a varied professional background. Beginning in 1974, he has worked as a School Teacher, a District Officer (child protection & foster care), a Senior Staff Development Officer, and as a part-time University Lecturer. He provided skills training in postgraduate programs for Counselling and Clinical Psychologists at Macquarie University for many years. Between 1987 – 2020, Ed worked as a Counsellor for students and staff at Sydney University and at UNSW.
Ed is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Fellow of the College of Counselling Psychologists.
