Alvin Lo
Psychologist
Alvin is a registered psychologist who works with adults and young people (17+). He has supported clients since 2017 and commonly works with concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, trauma-related distress, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. He has a particular interest in self-worth, identity, and the ways early experiences can shape coping patterns and relationships.
Alvin’s style is calm, collaborative, and insight-driven. Sessions integrate practical strategies for day-to-day coping (such as grounding, emotion regulation, and routines that support mood and anxiety) alongside space for reflection to better understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Progress is reviewed regularly, and the approach is adapted to fit each client’s goals and pace.
Alvin draws from evidence-based approaches including CBT and ACT principles, Internal Family Systems, Schema Therapy, and EMDR when appropriate and with careful preparation. Therapy is paced with choice and safety in mind—everything is explained in clear language, and nothing is used without a client’s agreement.
